The router can be completely personalised per user. The following settings can be amended on the web interface.
Every SO WIFI hotspot can be set to one specific company Facebook page. Social Wi-Fi then takes the timeline image and the logo for the application.
As soon as you switch on social Wi-Fi, it can be found under a particular name. You enter the name into this field. The Network name begins with FREEWIFI as the default.
Log in enabled/skip
It is possible to arrange for the Wi-Fi network to be accessed only liking only. This can be done by turning off the Log in function.
If the client would also like a third option, namely that guests can skip the entire liking or logging in process, you can activate “skip like”.
Email log in
This is the function by which a user leaves an email address. The default setting for this function is on, but you can also switch it off so that people can only access the Wi-Fi network via Facebook.
Here you can set the landing page to any URL of your choice. This page is visible as soon as the log in process has been completed.
An extra network can be created that makes it possible for staff of a particular company to access the Wi-Fi Network without liking or logging in. This is done with the use of a password.
In addition to these settings, there are also a number of other settings that can be amended. These settings cannot be changed during installation, but must be requested from the social Wi-Fi Head Office via email.
- WI-FI channel: the Wi-Fi channel is currently checked and modified on a daily basis automatically. This is to ensure that the social Wi-Fi is always set to the least congested channel.
- Bandwidth: bandwidth can be limited per user so that more people can use the Internet connection at the same time without a negative effect on other devices that use the Internet connection, such as charger, camera, and music systems.
- Network name prefix: the network name always begins with FREEWIFI as standard, this is a feature of the social Wi-Fi apparatus that enables routers and extenders to recognise one another individually. If you or your client find the name FREEWIFI too long, or would like it in a different language, we can change it for you.
